Jan Ferguson, Artist

I h ave been painting for thirty years and am self taught after initial assistance from an old friend artist. After working in Welfare most of my life I have been able to combine art therapy and care work . I was Honored to receive a Australia Day Cultural Award for Local and Regional Community participation from the Western Downs Regional Council.  I continue to support Aged Care and Special needs with Art Participation. 

Most of my painting is done on recycled metal objects.  Saws, buckets, trunks, shovels and anything else that can be given a new life to be used for many years to come.

The photos in the Gallery are examples of my work and I can discuss each particular painting needed. I work from photos or general ideas that clients may want.
